RiffRaff

"The Best Band In Suffolk"

... at least, that's what lead guitarist Jonny Miller's mum says, and she would know, she came to see us once.

Formed five years ago, RiffRaff perform an eclectic mix of powerful rock covers. AC/DC and Queen are delivered with the force and might that you'd expect, Greenday and Nirvana carry the necessary 'in-yer-face' attitude, the Foo Fighters and the Stereophonics are true to the originals, and yet the intricate harmonies of Pearl Jam and Thin Lizzy are by no means beyond them. Even The Sweet and The Monkees aren't exempt from the RiffRaff treatment, with those good ole boys not afraid to make themselves look ridiculous in the interests of a good time for all.

RiffRaff RiffRaff are comprised of vocalist (I know I should really say "vox" here, but I can't do it, I'm sorry, it just sounds way too... besides, I don't want to come across like we're serious musos or anything… anyway, on with it) Marky (yes, the famous estate agent), once of legendary rockers Shy At The Chemist, the stunning lead guitar of Jonny Miller (himself a professional guitar technician with Gibson), Andy Page who brings such a depth to the RiffRaff sound with his invaluable guitar and vocals, bassist Jon Davey (lately of High Voltage AC/DC tribute band, No Angel, Titian Red and Fluid... where does he find the time??) and professional drummer Kevin Woodard. When we say professional, we mean he doesn't have a proper job. Not like Marky.

RiffRaff have been locally described in such terms as "delivering a blistering, energetic performance of rock covers" (East Anglian Daily Times), "one of the highlights of the day" (Ipswich Evening Star), and "if you're not out of my face and my pub within sixty seconds then I'm setting the dogs loose" (anonymous pub landlord). By the way Mark, did you ever give him his wife's jeans back?

Miss them at your peril!! (if only because it'll kill an hour while you're waiting for TITIAN RED to come on...)
