St Elizabeth Hospice
St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people living with a progressive illness.
Our work is centred around an individual’s needs, which means specialist support, wherever it is required, whether at
home, in the community or at the Hospice.
We help people deal with problems such as pain, anxiety and fatigue, as well as offering practical advice and family
support.
The Hospice is an independent charity which provides services free of charge. Our services cost £6.6 million a year to
run or £13 a minute, with almost three quarters of that figure coming from the local community.
In order to ensure we can continue to care and support our patients and their family, friends and carers, we need your
help. One way you can support the Hospice, is to set up a Tribute Fund in memory of a loved one, to honour and celebrate
their life in a very special way. The Fund will be named after them and you can invite friends, family and colleagues to
contribute to the Fund in any way they choose for any length of time, in whatever way feels right for them.
Kate Moyes' family and friends decided to create a Tribute Fund in her memory. To date the Fund contains
£71,005.64
and the funds raised from this year’s Kesgrave Music Festival will add to the total.
You can help make a Tribute Fund grow by:
- making a donation on a special occasion or significant date such as a birthday or anniversary
- raising money by skydiving, running a marathon or taking part in one of our other sponsored events
- organising your own event such as a dance, music night or quiz
- donations in lieu of flowers at a funeral to go to the Fund or you may wish to use St Elizabeth Hospice 'Remembering
Someone Special' envelopes
- remembering St Elizabeth Hospice in your will by leaving a legacy, specifying that a Tribute Fund is established in
that name.
Seeing a Tribute Fund grow can give a great sense of achievement and be a powerful and positive way to honour the life of
someone special. St Elizabeth Hospice has produced a Tribute Fund pack to provide you with all the information you need to
set up a Tribute Fund in memory of a loved one. The Hospice will take care of all the paperwork and send regular updates
on the total in the Fund and the Tribute Fund holder will also receive a certificate.
